Christopher D. Childers, Director and Choreographer

Christopher D. Childers is one of the most exciting and dynamic visionaries for dance and creative direction in the US today. His unique style was formed after working with top directors, explosive choreographers, and prestigious companies. Twlyla Tharp, Jerome Robbins, Madonna, Cirque du Soleil, Prince, Moses Pendleton and others are some of the talents he has worked with creatively. His recent 7 year stint with Cirque du Soleil, first as a Principle Character, and then as the Dance and Movement Coach for Las Vegas’s “O” and Mystere has given Christopher insight into one of the greatest ‘secrets’ to artistry in the business today.

His unique take on movement spans the oceans, and includes Live stage shows, Special Events, Industrials, and Commercials. He was privileged to have had the opportunity to choreograph a National ad for Director Tony Kaye (American History X) utilizing the talents of Cirque, and he was also chosen by director Sam Raymi to choreograph and design Spiderman’s web-slinging and wall-climbing segments for the first SPIDERMAN movie.

Christopher is the Creative Director and choreographer of “Circus Freaks”, an annual Las Vegas Late Night event using Cirque artists and other show performers from the strip to showcase bizarre, and very sensual acts of wonder on stage. The upcoming Circus Freaks 5 will once again be showcased in Las Vegas in the late summer of 2007.

Christopher is the Co-founder of “Choozi Entertainment” with his sister Suzanne. (choozientertainment.com) Their very successful company just finished a busy start to 2007, working back to back gigs. Christopher just directed the opening show for “The Special Event” at the LA Convention Center and Suzanne designed and constructed the amazing costumes which featured Eartha Kitt, Taylor Dayne, Shanice and Sheryl Lee Ralph. Choozi has been busy with various shows and bookings across the US and Europe. They are producing an upcoming show at the Palace of Versailles in Paris, France.

Christopher is currently in production for the new Sandcastle Guam dinner theater show, which will open in 2008. Sandcastle Guam is a beautiful theater in the South Pacific. He will be auditioning later this year in Miami, New York City and Las Vegas for talent. He is also in production for the NFL Owner’s dinner show, which will be in Phoenix. He will create a “Desert Landscape” around a large pool, with dancers, synchronized swimmers, stilt walkers and an Aerialist over the water!
